Clemence Elie
SVP, Head of North America Human Resources
Clemence Elie has more than 15 years of diverse experience in the healthcare industry across multiple therapeutic areas and functions including medical, patient safety and human resources.
In her current role as Senior Vice President, Head of North America Human Resources, Clemence is responsible for acting as a trusted advisor to North America business leaders on all talent related matters, ensuring that the right talents, capabilities and structure are in place for today and tomorrow. In addition, she partners closely with internal clients to drive solutions that meet long-term, strategic goals and effectively balances business needs with Ipsen’s collaborative and agile culture. Clemence is also responsible for HR Operations across North America.
Clemence joined Ipsen in 2019 to lead Global Patient Safety Operations and was appointed as the Head of Global Patient Safety in 2021. During these four years, Clemence demonstrated strong leadership internally, up-skilling the entire department with key external Regulators and Health Authorities to ensure the organization was adhering to full compliance to applicable worldwide regulations. Before joining Ipsen, she held several roles at Sanofi with increasing responsibility across the Pharmacovigilance, Medical and HR functions.
Clemence graduated in Pharmacy and Specialized Studies in Industrial Pharmacy and Biology Medical, from Lyon University in 2005. She also holds an Executive MBA from EML Business School Lyon.
